Q: Is the gratuity included in the delivery fee?
A: Gratuities are appreciated but are left to the discretion of our customers.

Q: How far is your delivery area?
A: Since we price all deliveries by zip code, we really do not have a set distance on our deliveries, but the fee does go up the further away we go. Please see the map and zip code chart on our website or our Catering Menu.

Q: How many sandwiches will fit onto a tray?
A: Up to ten (10) sandwiches will fit onto a tray. Smaller trays are available.

Q: How many breakfast items will fit onto a tray?
A: Up to twelve (12) breakfast items will fit onto a tray. Smaller trays are available.

Q: How many slices of cake will fit onto a tray?
A: Up to fifteen (15) slices of cake will fit onto a tray. Smaller trays are available.

Q: How many cookies will fit onto a tray?
A: Up to fifty (50) cookies will fit onto a tray. Smaller trays are available.

Q: How many people will a gallon of beverage serve?
A: One gallon of any beverage will serve ten to fifteen (10-15) people.

Q: How long have you been open?
A: We opened in August of 1995.

Q: Is there a minimum order for delivery?
A: Yes. The minimum for a Breakfast delivery is $35.00 (before delivery fee and tax), and the minimum for a Lunch delivery is $50.00 (before delivery fee and tax).

Q: How many fluid ounces in your cup size of soup?
A: There are eight (8) ounces in our cup size of soup.

Q: How many fluid ounces in your bowl size of soup?
A: There are twelve (12) ounces in our bowl size of soup.

Q: How many slices make up a whole quiche?
A: Although a whole quiche is equal to five (5) of our slices of quiche, we are happy to cut it into as many slices as you wish.

Q: How large is a quarter (1/4) sheet cake in inches?
A: Our regular quarter (1/4) sheet cake is nine by thirteen (9X13) inches.

Q: Are there any other Jen's locations? Do you franchise?
A: We currently have only one location. We do not franchise.

Q: Do you deliver in the evenings or on the weekends?
A: Evening and weekend deliveries are possible, but they are subject to availability and minimum order. Each request will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Q: Do you cater weddings and other formal functions?
A: Generally no. Each request will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Q: What fruit is in your fruit salad?
A: A medley of watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew melon, pineapple, strawberries and red seedless grapes.

Q: What low carbohydrate options do you offer?
A: Many of our hot entrees and vegetables are low in carbohydrates. Our salads (even the Caesar can be prepared to order), quiches, chili and many of our soups are also low-carb. We would even be happy to make your favorite sandwich without the bread!

Q: What low fat options do you offer?
A: Our low fat options include our cinnamon and our raspberry muffins; our salads as well as Fat Free Ranch, Fat Free Italian and Oil and Vinegar dressings; our turkey, roast beef or chicken breast sandwiches; our baked potatoes topped to order, as well as many of our hot entree options.

Q: Are there anchovies and raw eggs in your Caesar dressing?
A: We use pasteurized eggs, and there are no anchovies in the Caesar dressing.

Q: What happened to your Greek Salad? I do not see it on the menu anymore!
A: The Greek Salad has been renamed the Tomato Cucumber Salad to more accurately identify it as a chopped vegetable salad rather than a leafy variety.

Q: Why are the Chicken Tetrazini, the Chicken Artichoke Casserole and the Lasagna only served in portions of nine (9)? What do I do if my head-count is not a multiple of nine (9)?
A: These dishes are prepared casserole pans that hold nine (9) slices. We recommend the following method of ordering if your headcount is not a multiple of nine (9): Let us say that your headcount is fifteen (15). Order fifteen (15) full hot entree specials (includes entree, vegetable, salad and roll), and then order three (3) hot entrees a la carte. Most of our clients find this the most cost-effective method to meet their needs.

Q: How far in advance do I need to place my whole cake or pie order?
A: We require twenty-four (24) hour notice on most whole cake and pie orders. However, our Texas Sheet Cake and Carrot Cake are so popular that we usually have both of them available on a daily basis.

Q: Can I order one of your whole cakes with a different kind of frosting than it usually has?
A: Yes! We are happy to accommodate custom cake orders - anything from changing frosting types to writing and decorations to trying a new variety of cake that we usually do not carry. Just ask, and we will be happy to work with you to meet your needs.

Q: How early and how late do you deliver?
A: Regular catering hours are Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Q: How late can I come in to pick up an order?
A: The restaurant closes at 2:00 p.m. All later pick-ups are considered on a case-by-case basis.

Q: Can you have my order delivered at an exact time?
A: We always request at least a thirty (30) minute delivery window. We can target an exact time but do not guarantee it.

Q: Do I need to bring back the coffee pots or rented warming trays that were left at my function?
A: No. We pick up all coffee pots and rentals by the end of the delivery day.

Q: How long will the food stay hot in just the regular family-style pans?
A: All hot foods will be hot at the time of delivery, and we suggest your order to be served within fifteen (15) minutes to guarantee optimum quality. If you will not be serving within fifteen (15) minutes, or if your guests will be eating at different times, we recommend the use of warming trays.

Q: Do we need to purchase warming trays, or do you provide them?
A: We do have warming trays available to rent as well as to purchase. The rental cost for each warming tray (with rack and fuel) is $10.00. The purchase cost for each warming tray (with rack only) is $30.00.

Q: Are plates, napkins, eating utensils and serving utensils included in the price of the food?
A: While catering orders automatically include complementary serving utensils, all plates, napkins and eating utensils are available for a small charge. Large (9 inch) plate sets are $.30 per person, and small (6 inch) plate sets are $.20 per person.

Q: How early and how late can I call in a catering order?
A: Catering staff are available over the phone from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. While we make every attempt to accommodate last minute orders, we do request twenty-four (24) hours notice for all catering orders.

Q: Can I fax or email my catering order?
A: Yes. We will call to confirm the order within thirty (30) minutes of receiving the order. Our fax number is 972-991-0081, and our email address is jensplc@swbell.net.

Q: Do you accept credit cards?
A: Yes. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. We DO NOT accept Discover or Diner's Club cards.

Q: Do you accept business checks?
A: Yes. We do accept business checks.

Q: Do you accept personal checks?
A: No. We do not accept personal checks.

Q: Can I pay for my catering order with cash?
A: Cash is accepted, however, or staff does not carry change.

Q: How do we set up a corporate catering account with Jen's Place?
A: You can download a form on our website and email or fax it in to us. Once we receive the completed application back, it will take one to two (1-2) business days to get it set up.
